Review: Lord of Misrule by Rachel Caine

Lord of Misrule is book 5 in the Morganville Vampires series.

Synopsis from Barnes and Noble:
In the college town of Morganville, vampires and humans coexist in (relatively) bloodless harmony. Then comes Bishop, the master vampire who threatens to abolish all order, revive the forces of the evil dead, and let chaos rule. But Bishop isn't the only threat.Violent black cyclone clouds hover, promising a storm of devastating proportions as student Claire Danvers and her friends prepare to defend Morganville against elements both natural and unnatural.

Not much to say, except that I really enjoyed this book. And she leaves you hanging at the end, of course! I am bummed that I have to wait until June for the next book!

I wasn't sure how much I was going to enjoy this series, but I really do like it. The relationships between the humans and vampires is so complex, and the story stays interesting, and doesn't seem forced. There is lots of action, and a little romance (young adult romance, of course) too. Good stuff!

I'm thinking about checking out Rachel Caine's other books now...

Rated: 4/5
